What Can a Loft Conversion Be Used For?

Integrated Designs • Aug 22, 2019
Loft conversions are great additions to the home, creating an extra room that’s light, airy and functional - a more cost-effective option than moving house completely. If you’re making room for a new baby or perhaps you require a dedicated area to work, this can all be solved by installing a loft conversion.

Read on for a little inspiration about how you can use an attic room in your home.

Guest bedroom
When family and friends come to stay you want to make them feel comfortable, so having a private room to offer them will make their visit a little more relaxing. And you can go one step further by finishing off this room with its own ensuite. A personal toilet and shower will give them some privacy so they don’t have to share the family bathroom or disturb anyone else in the morning or evening.

Office
Working from home can be a little distracting if you don’t have your own designated, quiet area. So why not turn the loft into an office? As a separate space in the home, you can lock yourself away and get on with your work undisturbed. Furthermore, at the top of the house this room will have a constant stream of light, making the space more enjoyable to work in - dark and dingy rooms will not keep you motivated and you may find it harder to stay focused.

Chill out area
If your home is full of the latest technology, gadgets and games, you may want to keep everything organised by having them in one room. Create your own chill-out area where all members of the family can go for some me-time. Whether that be listening to music, playing on a games console or watching a film, a designated area for all of this will stop the other rooms in your house from getting cluttered.

Dressing room
If you’re a lover of fashion and dream of a place where your clothes, shoes and accessories can be organised and easily accessed, then converting your loft into a dressing room could be a perfect idea. Get ready each morning in leisure, even this small change could boost your mood, making you feel better about the day ahead. And being able to see all of your clothes will encourage you to wear some of your old favourites!
